Projects in 3rd Grade
More details about the long range projects will come home when they are assigned.
*November-Indian Research Project
The students will choose a book from our SJA library about a certain Indian tribe. They will read it and then work on this project in class with help. They will be using the computer lab as well and will only complete the shelter model at home as EXTRA CREDIT if they so choose. Oral reports will be given.
Due on either December 13th (odds) or 14th (evens), 2018.
*February- African American Biography Report
Books will be assigned February 1, 2019. We will present our project in the form of a WAX MUSEUM. Students will dress up and "come alive" to recite facts about their person. Wax Museum date is March 7rd, 2019 from 8-9:30am in the hall. Parents are invited!
*April-Poetry Recital
We will be studying poetry during April. Students will choose at least a 20 line poem to memorize and then recite on stage in the hall at 1:30pm on April 16, 2019. Costumes are encouraged and at least one prop must be used.
